The Restaurant Chez Hortense

A little piece of paradise to discover

During one of my last stays in Arcachon, a friend made me discover the restaurant Chez Hortense located at the tip of Cap Ferret. In a wild and relaxing setting, I discovered this restaurant looking like colourful fisherman's hut: a wonderful memory!

I learned that the restaurant Chez Hortense is a family institution in the Bassin d'Arcachon since the 1930s. It is very popular and attracts some of the great personalities of French cinema such as Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet.

An unmissable view of the Bassin d'Arcachon

Chez Hortense, we serve you a simple and gourmet cuisine prepared with the fresh catch of the day. The welcome and the service are very friendly! Their speciality to absolutely try is the mussels dish with ham prepared with a family secret passed on from generation to generation...

What you won't forget about this restaurant is the view... You will be able to enjoy your meal with your feet in the sand, a few meters from the sea, with the very famous Dune du Pilat as a neighbour!
