A little paradise
The Arcachon Basin is a small paradise located along the Atlantic coast. It is a vast bay, a magical and preserved place!
The region is famous for its 5 beautiful sandy beaches but there are also many places to visit: the Cap Ferret lighthouse, the famous Deganne castle, the Bird Island... You will not be bored during your holidays in Arcachon!
I have spent many summers with my parents in this beautiful region and the best way to discover it is, in my opinion, is by bike!
The bike paths surround almost the entire bay. Leaving from Arcachon, you will cross different villages and you will enjoy a wide variety of landscapes until the Cap Ferret.
The magic of the Dune
It is a real pleasure to be able to ride quietly the bay. My favorite circuit is between Arcachon and the “Dune du Pyla”. This one will allow you to cross different atmospheres: the waterfront and the port of Arcachon, the district of Moulleau and its church, the “Dune du Pyla” and a return by the municipality of La Teste de Buch.
When you discover the “Dune du Pyla”, you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of this Dune. Upon your arrival, you will be impressed by its size (109m high, 2.7 km long). Once at the summit, an exceptional panorama will unveil the wonders of the bay: the bench of Arguin, the forest...
