Arcachon in January, why not? The city is full of treasures to discover and can turn a simple weekend into a truly revitalizing getaway. To fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Arcachon, we’ve put together a ready-made itinerary for you. No need to convince anyone anymore, simply book your stay at Hôtel Le B and let yourself be guided by the sea breeze of the Bay.
Saturday, day 1:
9 AM – An Exceptional Breakfast
Before heading out to explore Arcachon in its gentle winter light, treat yourself to a breakfast that is as generous as it is comforting. Our buffet showcases fresh, local products: warm eggs, delicious cold cuts and cheeses, and of course cannelés: a regional must-have, along with pastries and crêpes.
A gourmet moment to enjoy in the warm atmosphere of our hotel.
Served from 7 AM to 10:30 AM from Monday to Saturday, and until 11 AM on Sundays and public holidays.

10:30 AM – Discover Arcachon by Bike
Here, the bicycle reigns supreme. With over 220 km of bike paths along the Bay, Arcachon is perfect for cycling, even in winter, when the landscapes take on a gentler charm.
Just steps from the hotel, our partner Beach Bikes offers classic and electric bikes, ideal for reaching the Dune du Pilat in just 30 minutes and enjoying its beauty off-season.
As a hotel guest, enjoy a 10% discount on your rental at Beach Bikes (214 Boulevard de la Plage, Arcachon).
11:30 AM – The Unmissable Dune du Pilat
A majestic symbol of the Bay, the Dune du Pilat is a must-see during your stay. Cycle for about thirty minutes to reach this iconic site, which rises 110 meters and stretches nearly 3 km, offering a spectacular panorama of the ocean, forest, and Bay, even more magical in winter, when the light is soft and the crowds are smaller.
Shaped by sand and sculpted by the wind, it protects the coastline and captivates with its natural beauty. Fun fact: it’s spelled “Pilat,” from the Gascon word pilot (“pile” or “mound”), not to be confused with the nearby Pyla-sur-Mer town.
To reach the top, try climbing through the sand. It’s a workout but with guaranteed laughs and the reward is always the same: a breathtaking view of one of Europe’s most beautiful landscapes.
12:30 PM – Lunch by the Bay
On your way back to the hotel, make a gourmet stop at the iconic Co(o)rniche. Its bright dining room offers spectacular views of the Bay, the Banc d’Arguin, and the Cap-Ferret tip. Enjoy seafood, seasonal fish, and generous desserts by Chef Christophe Beaupuy in an elegant and refined atmosphere.
For a more relaxed option, Fernande, in the heart of the lively Moulleau village, is a cozy café-bistro serving seasonal, homemade dishes in a warm, welcoming setting (no reservation required).

4 PM – A Moment of Relaxation at the Hotel
After your morning adventures, take some time to unwind in our lounge. Large windows, soft lighting, and marine-inspired décor create a cozy setting perfect for relaxing. Dive into a good book or explore our collection of board games for a shared moment of fun. Paired with a comforting drink, this time envelops you in the warm and soothing atmosphere of our hotel.
6 PM – Back to Your Room to Get Ready
Return to your room, thoughtfully designed for your comfort. Take a moment to refresh and get ready. Natural light, generous spaces, and modern bathrooms invite you to enjoy your perfume, makeup, and accessories rituals, before heading out to enjoy the Arcachon evening!
7:30 PM – Dinner at Diego
To end your day in Arcachon, Diego Plage, ideally located by the sea, celebrates the freshness and quality of seafood. Oysters, shellfish, and seasonal fish are at the heart of every dish. These meals honor seasonality and will delight all seafood lovers seeking authentic and refined cuisine.

9 PM – Extend the Evening at the Theatre
For those who wish to continue the day’s magic, the Théâtre Olympia, a true Arcachon institution for nearly 140 years, offers a diverse program throughout the year. Comedy, plays, symphonic concerts... there is something for everyone, for a memorable cultural evening in the heart of Arcachon. Check out the full program.
Sunday, Day 2:
10:30 AM – Stroll through the Winter City
After recharging with our gourmet breakfast, enjoy a walk in one of Arcachon’s most emblematic neighborhoods, the Winter City, home to over 300 villas, a must-visit during the winter season.
The stroll begins at the Thiers Pier, offering a beautiful view of the Arcachon Bay, with the Île-aux-Oiseaux and the famous Cabanes Tchanquées.
Next, head to the Parc Mauresque: gateway to the Winter City.
Wander through the maze of streets and discover these villas, each unique in its style. From Bayard to Athéna, passing by Brémontier, Toledo, or Trocadéro, don’t miss the chance to explore these stunning architectural gems. A highlight of the walk is Villa Alexandre Dumas, one of the most beautiful in the region.
Finally, take in the view from above by climbing to the Sainte-Cécile Observatory!

12:30 PM – Lunch at the Market
Continue your stroll with a gourmet break at the Arcachon market, located on Place des Marquises under the Baltard hall. A true highlight of your itinerary, this market immerses you in local authenticity with stalls offering fresh, seasonal products: fish and oysters from the Bay, roasted poultry, delicatessen specialties, and fruits and vegetables. Perfect for putting together a lunch inspired directly by the Arcachon region.

4:30 PM – Maison de l’Huître
For those wishing to continue exploring the Bay, make a stop on your way back in Gujan-Mestras, just 20 minutes from the hotel, at the Maison de l’Huître. This unique venue immerses you in the daily life of oyster farmers, their cultivation techniques, and the history of the oyster through the centuries.
